I've said previously that I love all the collections designers are doing for bigger retail stores, the various collaborations going on between between designers and all the awesome concept/pop-up stores. Everyone has been writing/blogging about it all which is nice for those of us who are shopaholics. I am intrigued by the odd pairing of purveyors of Parisian cool, Colette and the Gap where lucky New Yorkers and visitors will be able to experience a Colette pop up store within a Gap store. I will undoubtedly not be in New York to check it out but it's a nice way to experience a bit of the coolness that is Colette if you've never been to the Paris mecca. I will have to visit the website. Yes, I unapologetically love that store, which if you are interested in checking out the new store design like I was click over to Selectism to see some photos of it.

Another cool collection which will debut through Urban Outfitters is the Rapscallion line designed by Samantha Pleet. Below is a preview of some of what we can expect which Refinery 29 posted. They luv her. They have more photos, please visit.

I like to read a blog called Door Sixteen and the other day there was a post which featured the coats of Soia & Kyo, practical cold weather coats that are modern and that will most likely be impossible for me to pass up. I'm lusting after the Kimya gray leather coat:

And the Teo - S wool coat:

Also the Margo S:

The Myrtho-C:

I like gray too.

Browsing the Denimology blog I ran across this genius idea on Andy's post:
A pair of jeans with a ZipHolder attached

ZipHolder - no more worry!

Now, I think we can come up with some DIY method!

I like to say A.P.C. as if I were french. Ahhhh Payyyyy Sayyyyyy. Yesss. I'm sitting here at my desk at work bored to tears wearing my new Petit Standard's that the UPS man brought to me last night. It took me a good 15 minutes to get them buttoned this morning, which impressed me. I'm fairly uncomfortable today, sitting here in my office chair. These will be so nice broken in. I was worried that the waste would be super low. It's not too low so I am happy. They are a nice slim fit. The hardest button (I LOVE button fly!) for me is the middle one because that's where my hips are the widest and I do have some hips.

I know I rarely post photos of my own outfits. I've been feeling like I've been dressing "boring" lately or very casual...but maybe it just comes with getting old and having no place to go...

I just realized that is a lie sort of. When I went out to Yerba Buena to check out the Bay Area Now art opening I wore that dress by that elusive brand Pipit. I wore it with black tights and my grey Chanel mary jane heels... I had four people stop me and inquire about the dress. Sadly, I had very little to tell them because I couldn't find much info when I googled it. I'll have to ask someone when I go back in the store.

Anyway I'm posting two shots of recent outfits. The first outfit is that Philip Lim 3.1 skirt I got at Barneys. It gets lots of comments too, usually by old ladies but hey, whatever. Grey AA sweatshirt, Old Navy tank top...some old grey socks and Steve Madden booties. And below is what I wore yesterday.

My favorite jeans (cheap mondays- they don't stretch out!) and my new favorite shoes. The shoes are FarylRobin. Red shoes are fun to wear. Sorry they are impossible to see here! I first saw them on a blog somewhere and was smitten. Not having any idea what brand they were I started diligently searching for them online. I found them on Anthropologie two weeks ago but they aren't available for purchase until late September. I'm very much into instant gratification so I didn't pre-order them. I was in Nordstrom last Friday and low an behold I found them! They didn't disappoint in person. My new favorite shoes. I just have to restrain myself from wearing them everyday. You can find them right now on Endless.com.
more crap I bought...

New Vena Cava dress. Recent arrival at Anica Boutique. Yes, I'll marry you if I can just wear this dress. It inspires me that much.
